- 1). Toggle Internet Explorer's Full Screen mode by pressing F11 to return the window to Normal view. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to close Internet Explorer.
- 2). Press F10 on the keyboard. This will activate "File" in the Menu Bar. Use the down arrow key on your keyboard to scroll through the drop-down menu. Select "Exit." Press "Enter" on the keyboard. Internet Explorer will close.
- 3). Press "Alt-F4" on the keyboard simultaneously. Internet Explorer will immediately close.
- 4). Locate the Internet Explorer taskbar window in your desktop taskbar. With your mouse, right-click the taskbar window. In the menu that appears, select "Close." Internet Explorer will immediately close.
- 5). Press "Ctrl-Alt-Delete" simultaneously on the keyboard; the Task Manager dialog window will appear. Click the "Processes" tab. Look for "iexplore.exe" in the list under "Image Name." Click it once to highlight it. Click the "End Process" button at the bottom right side of the window. Click "End Process" in the confirmation window.
