How to Clean a Board After Cutting Fish
- 1). Clean the board with hot, soapy water to remove any fish residue.
- 2). Sprinkle a heavy dusting of baking soda over the cutting board and rub in with your fingers. Let the baking soda sit for about five minutes as this will deodorize the board. Again, wash the cutting board with hot, soapy water to remove the baking soda.
- 3). Soak a cleaning rag in white vinegar and rub generously over the cutting board. The vinegar will disinfect and deodorize quickly. Let the cutting board air dry.
