How to Take Out Stains from Banana Leaves
- 1). Mix 1 tsp. vinegar with 1 tsp. rubbing alcohol.
- 2). Dampen a sponge with the alcohol-vinegar solution and let it air-dry until the sponge is only moist. Test the sponge by gently pressing it against your skin; if no wetness is left behind, the sponge is dry enough.
- 3). Pour a small amount of liquid detergent, approximately 1/2 cup depending on size, on the banana leaf stain. If the fabric is not colored, pour a few drops of bleach onto the stain as well.
- 4). Rub the detergent into the stain using the sponge.
- 5). Rinse the area thoroughly with cold water.
- 1). Mix 1 cup of bleach with 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide and dilute with 1 gallon of warm water.
- 2). Test a small, hard-to-notice area of the deck or concrete by pouring approximately 1 tbsp. of the solution directly onto it. Let the spot stand for one hour, then blot dry with a clean cloth and rinse with clean water. If no discoloration occurs, continue. If discoloration does occur, try diluting the mixture with water and test it again.
- 3). Soak the stained area of the patio or deck with the solution and let it stand for one hour.
- 4). Blot the wet area with a clean cloth and rinse it with clear water.
- 5). Add 1 cup of powdered detergent to the solution if the stain remains, and use a stiff, nonmetal brush to scrub the stain with the cleaning solution.
