    • 1). Click the Windows XP "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Click the "Add or Remove Programs" link to open a new window.

    • 2). Click the button labeled "Add/Remove Windows Components." This opens a wizard that installs any additional Windows components.

    • 3). Check the box next to "Internet Information Services." Click the "Next" button. Windows installs and configures the IIS components on the machine.

    • 4). Click the "Finish" button to complete the software additions and close the installation wizard. Close the Control Panel.
