- 1). Measure the floor to determine where your cuts should be placed on the Hardibacker by placing one end of the measuring tape against the nearest piece of installed Hardibacker then laying it to meet the wall. Note the measurement.
- 2). Lay the measuring tape across the top edge of the Hardibacker and mark with the pencil where the cut should be made. Repeat this at the middle and bottom of the Hardibacker.
- 3). Cut into the Hardibacker with the scoring tool along the pencil marks. You may need to drag the scoring tool through the cut a few times to make sure it's deep enough.
- 4). Bend the Hardibacker so that it snaps along the scored line.
