How to Remove Soy Sauce Stains in Furniture

    • 1). Blot as much of the soy sauce as possible from the upholstery with a clean towel. Use a gentle lifting motion starting at the outside of the stain and working inward. Do not rub the fabric as this will set the stain in.

    • 2). Mix a soap solution that is one tablespoon liquid dish detergent and two cups cold water. Dip a clean sponge into the soap solution and lightly wring it out. Gently sponge the stain working from the outside toward the middle.

    • 3). Blot at the stain with a clean, absorbent towel until the cleaning solution liquid is absorbed. Inspect the stain to verify if it was removed. You may need to let the upholstery dry depending on the type and color of fabric.

    • 4). Repeat the cleaning process in Steps 2 and 3 if the stain remains. Blot the area with a clean wet sponge to remove remaining soap solution once the stay has been removed.
