Windows Parental Controls and Family Safety for GTA
- The "Parental Controls" utility is in the "Control Panel," which you can find by clicking on the "Start" button, found in the lower-left corner of your screen. Within the utility, you must select the account to place controls on. Controls may only be set on standard accounts, and they can only be changed by administrator accounts.
- Windows can block specific accounts from accessing a game at or above a certain rating. This is in the "Games" option of the "Parental Controls" utility. The ESRB has rated all Grand Theft Auto games as "M" (mature).
- You can also block certain accounts from running specific Grand Theft Auto games installed on the computer. In "Parental Controls," this feature is the "Block or Allow specific games" under the "Games" section.
- You can also block the account during specified times. If a user attempts to access an account during a blocked time, he will be denied access and will not be able to play any games, including Grand Theft Auto. This feature is the "Time limits" option in "Parental Controls."
