- 1). Cut three cardboard paper tubes down their lengths with scissors.
- 2). Stack the cut open tubes on top of each other, creating three layers of cardboard.
- 3). Insert a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, then plug the gun into a wall outlet to heat up for 3 to 5 minutes.
- 4). Squeeze a thick line of hot glue down the length of the cardboard, placing the line in the center of the layers.
- 5). Roll the cardboard layers up width wise into a very tight roll, which will roll over the hot glue in the center of the form.
- 6). Squeeze a thin line of hot glue underneath the outside flap of the roll, and smooth the outside flap over the glue to secure the cardboard dowel into place. Allow the hot glue to cool completely before using the dowel in your project.
