How to Make a Hole in Wood Without a Drill for Jewelry
- 1). Clamp a flat piece of wood to a worktable. Mark the location where you want the jewelry hole with a pencil.
- 2). Install the keyhole bit into the router. Hold the router with both hands. Position the bit over the mark. Set the depth of cut at a half-inch from the tip of the bit, to the place where it emerges from the router base.
- 3). Turn on the router. Bore down into the wood with the bit until the base of the router settles down on the wood.
- 4). Pull the router toward your body approximately a half-inch to create a small channel. Push it back up where it was and lift it up and out of the hole.
