- 1). Right-click on the Windows "Start" button, then click "Open Windows Explorer."
- 2). Click the "Tools" option on the top navigation bar, and click "Folder Options."
- 3). Click the "View" tab, then uncheck the checkbox for the "Hide Extensions for Known File Types." Click "OK," and the file extensions are now displayed in Windows Explorer.
- 4). Right-click on the "STP" file, and click "Rename."
- 5). Type the file extension of "CAB" over the STP file extension. The file is now converted to a CAB file.
- 6). Open the CAB file with WinZip, WinRAR or any other compatible archiving utility. The CAB file unzips like any other ZIP file.
