- 1). Unplug the power cord from the power outlet. The suction on the wand may be damaged if it the power is activated when releasing the wand.
- 2). Grip the top of the handle. Stand facing the front of the vacuum cleaner and grip the top of the handle. The wand is located inside the handle's front tube.
- 3). Squeeze the handle release lever and pull up to detach the handle from the base of the cleaner.
- 4). Grip the wand head located in the tube in front of the handle. Pull up to extend the wand.
