How to Cut Foam Tubing
- 1). Place your foam tubing on a hard surface, such as a table or a floor. If you choose to use a hobby knife, a cutting board is ideal.
- 2). Cut the tubing to the length desired. If the foam tubing fits between the blades of the scissors you have, you can cut it just like paper. If the tubing is larger, slice it with a hobby knife, or cut with a serrated knife.
- 3). Trimming with a pair of scissors. Bevel the edges by cutting at an appropriate angle for your needs. If you need the tube to fit over a small appliance, let's say for a handle covering, slice it down the middle lengthwise, split apart and place over the applicable handle, and then tape or glue into place.
