- 1). Lightly dust your sheepskin lampshade once a week to keep it free from debris.
- 2). Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for use with specific light bulb wattages. Light bulbs 100 watts or over may cause the lampshade to dry out and split.
- 3). Keep the lampshade oiled with a vegetable-based oil on a regular basis to prevent drying and splitting. Do not over-saturate the sheepskin lampshade.
- 4). Move your sheepskin lampshade away from direct sunlight to prevent eventual drying out and splitting of the shade.
- 5). Re-glue or stitch immediately any seams that start to come apart. Re-oil the seam area to keep it supple.
