    • 1). Turn off the water supply spigots and place the washer into the drain mode, if your washer is full of water. Allow the washer to completely run through the drain cycle. Turn the washer off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

    • 2). Disconnect the front of the control console panel from the washer cabinet. Depending upon your model there will either be a screw on each end of the control console or retaining clips under each end. Remove screws with a Phillips head screwdriver or slide a putty knife between the washer cabinet and the bottom of the control console if you have no screws.

    • 3). Flip the control console toward the rear wall so that it rests on its hinges. Disconnect the washer cabinet from the washer rear panel by removing the large clips from the top of the washer. Pry the clips out of the washer cabinet with a large flat head screwdriver.

    • 4). Move the washer cabinet away from the rear panel just enough that you can inspect the clear hose that connects to the water level switch and the washer tub. The water level switch will be on the right side of your control console.

    • 5). Inspect the complete length of the clear plastic hose. Ensure that the hose connects tightly to the small tub port and to the water level switch. The water level switch cannot detect the proper pressure if the hose is disconnected or cracked.

    • 6). Pull the hose off the water level switch if the hose appears intact. Remove the two screws that secure the water level switch to the back of the control console with a Phillips head screwdriver. Remove the three wires that connect to the water level switch terminals by pulling the wires away with your fingers. Take the water level switch to an appliance repair facility to purchase the replacement.

    • 7). Install the new water level switch into the control console and secure the switch with the retaining screws. Slide the wire ends from the washer over the terminal end tabs on the water level switch. Push the hose over the port on the water level switch.

    • 8). Slide the washer cabinet back toward the rear panel and pop the large clips back into the washer cabinet to secure the cabinet to the rear panel. Flip the control console back down and secure the control console to the cabinet either with the retaining screws or pushing down on the control console to engage the retaining clips.

    • 9). Plug the power cord into the wall outlet and turn on the water supply.
