How to Solder a Chip Capacitor

1). Turn on your soldering iron and let it heat up. Wait until it completely liquefies any solder that you touch to the tip.
2). Touch the lead of the capacitor to the lead in the circuit you want to attach it to. Hold it in place for the next step.
3). Touch the soldering iron to the solder until it is coated in a layer of melted solder, then touch the tip of the soldering iron to the leads you wish to connect. Continue holding the leads in place until the solder solidifies. This should only take a few seconds.
4). Wipe the tip of the soldering iron on the wet sponge to clean off excess solder.
5). Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for the other lead of the capacitor.
