    • 1). Type an ampersand, the word "trade" and a semicolon in that order without spaces. Enter this code immediately after the name or symbol you'd like to identify as trademarked.

This method works if you are using the Microsoft Windows operating system while writing an HTML or Microsoft word document or while social networking.

It will look like "& trade ;" but without the spaces and quotation marks, and will create something that looks like this: ™.

    • 2). Put the letters T and M inside opening and closing HTML superscript tags, which look like this: . Place this letter and HTML tag combination immediately after the name or symbol you'd like to identify as trademarked.

This method works if you are using the Microsoft Windows operating system while writing an HTML or Microsoft word document, but not while social networking because most social networking applications cannot read HTML tags.

It should look like "TM" but without the quotation marks.

    • 3). Press the number "2" while holding down the "Option" key to create the trademark symbol immediately after the name or symbol you'd like to identify as trademarked.

This method works if you are using an Apple Mac operating system while writing an HTML or Microsoft word document or while social networking.
