How to Get the Side Off of My Factory Sirius Radio
- 1). Check your vehicle's owner's manual for the dash's exact removal process, as it may vary slightly from this process, depending on your car's make and model.
- 2). Remove the Phillips screws from each side of the front dash surrounding your Sirius radio. These screws are located near your vehicle's floorboard. Newer vehicles that break up the dash into several sections do not have this feature.
- 3). Insert a flathead screwdriver in-between the dash and the vehicle display, and pry off the side covering to completely expose the Sirius radio.
- 4). Slide the radio out from the open dash. From here you can disconnect the wire harness in the rear of the stereo receiver or perform any other upgrade process you see fit.
