    • 1). Position the dryer in its location, but allow for room to get behind the dryer.

    • 2). Attach the dryer hose to the back of the dryer with the hose clamp. Some new dryer hoses come with a large zip tie, which works fine, but must be cut and replaced when you disconnect the dryer. If using an existing hose, carefully inspect the hose for cracks or leaks, and make sure the hose is not clogged with lint. If installing a new hose you will also have to secure the hose in the same way to the outside vent line.

    • 3). Plug the dryer into the receptacle. Check for power and proper operation.

    • 4). Push dryer back into position. Do not crush the vent hose.

    • 5). Level the dryer. There are normally adjustable screw feet on the bottom front of the dryer. If there are no adjustable feet you will need some shims. Small pieces of wood or old carpet are useful shims.
