- 1). Perform a clean reinstall of the software. It is possible that something went wrong during the initial installation. Open the Control Panel within the Start menu. Click the "Uninstall" button. Once the installation is complete, reinstall the software using the original installation disks.

- 4). Reduce your computer's hardware acceleration. Open the Start menu, then open the Control Panel. Click "Appearance and Personalization." Under the "Display" heading, click "Screen Resolution." Click "Advanced Settings." This will open a pop-up window. Select the "Troubleshoot" tab. Click "Change Settings." Adjust the "Hardware Acceleration" slider down from "Full" to the third notch from the left. Click "OK" and restart your computer.
