- 1). Open the YouTube Website and log in to your account. Go to your channel by clicking the account drop-down menu and selecting "Channel."
- 2). Click to expand the "Themes and Colors" menu, and click the "Show Advanced Options" link.
- 3). Locate the "Background Image" box in the "General" section, and click the "Browse" button. This opens the "Choose file to upload" dialog.
- 4). Select the layout image you want to use and click "Open." This uploads the image to your channel.
- 5). Click the "Save Changes" button to save your layout.
