How to Repair Cracks in a Concrete Brick Foundation
- 1). Put on leather gloves and eye protection. Brush dirt and loose pieces out of the crack with a wire brush. Remove loose pieces from the crack with a shop vacuum.
- 2). Chisel the crack out with a cold chisel and hammer to make the crack more stable. Vacuum the debris from the crack with the shop vacuum.
- 3). Mix hydraulic cement and water following the manufacturer's instructions. Apply the mixed hydraulic cement to the crack with a pointing trowel. Fill the crack and smooth its surface with the pointing trowel until it is flush with the rest of the foundation.
