How to Put On a 1995 Mazda 626 Transmission Mount
- 1). Jack up the front end of the 1995 Mazda 626 with the floor jack. Place the jack stands at the front end support points on the right and left side of the 626. Lower the 626 onto the jack stands.
- 2). Slide under the Mazda 626 and bring the floor jack and all of your tools with you. Look at the transmission and locate the transmission mount and cross member. Position the floor jack under the transmission behind the cross member in front of the engine. Slightly raise the transmission with the jack.
- 3). Remove the metal bolt from the center of the cross member using the ratchet set. Pull the old transmission mount out from between the cross member and the transmission. Raise the transmission up some more if the transmission mount is stuck.
- 4). Slide the new transmission mount between the transmission and the cross member. Make sure that the holes on the new transmission mount are flush with the holes on the cross member and the transmission. Insert the metal bolt. Lower the transmission and remove the floor jack from under the transmission. Tighten the transmission mount securing bolt with the ratchet set.
