Hi, I'm Kelley West for eHow.com. I'm a licensed medical esthetician, and people come to me for better skin case. And part of skin care has to do with your hair and your nails as well so I want to quickly tell you how to stimulate nail growth. My favorite thing to do and I'm doing it right now is to take a little bit of olive oil, pure organic virgin olive oil and place this all over the tops of your hands. Really massage it in to your cuticles and the actual nail itself and then I like to put latex gloves over. You can use regular gloves too if you have those at home and do a treatment for about an hour. Another thing you can do if you have super dry cuticles. Just take a little bit of Vaseline jelly and you can do this along with the olive oil which makes a really great treatment. And again, massage that in to your cuticles. But I'll tell you, the absolute best way to stimulate nail growth is come through the foods that you eat and certain vitamins. So I've put out a showing here of some really important vitamins and foods that will help you bring those vitamins to your system. The first one being calcium. Taking calcium supplements is a great idea or you can get extra calcium through organic milk, through almonds, the world's perfect food, and through carrots, which are so delicious. Another thing, folic acids so important for stimulating nail growth and you can get folic acid through dark green leafy vegetables. Also through any type of bean or legume, fancy word for beans, and eggs, organic eggs are another way to bring folic acid in to your system. And then finally, Vitamin A. So important, not just for your nails, so important for your skin and you an get Vitamin A through again, carrots, and almonds. Here's you a great little snack.
