      Create columns in a document. Start by selecting all of the text you would like included in the columns you are about to create. Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the Ribbon. Click on the "Columns" drop down menu in the "Page Setup" group. From the menu, choose the number of columns you would like to have. Your selected text will be converted into columns.

      Use tables in your Word documents. To access the feature click on the "Insert" tab on the Ribbon. The "Table" option is directly beneath the tab header. A chart will appear that allows you to select the number of rows and columns your table will have. You can make this selection by clicking and dragging the mouse and highlighting your choice and clicking to complete. The table is inserted into your document.

      If you would like to add more rows at the bottom of your table, simply place your cursor in the last cell in the table and hit the "Tab" key on your computer keyboard.

    • 3). Learn about other important options in the "Page Layout" tab of the Ribbon. Changing the Page Setup of your file takes you to a new level of professionalism to your document. Directly beneath the tab header is the "Page Setup" group.

      To adjust the margins of your document click on the "Margins" drop down arrow. You can choose from predefined margins or you can choose to create custom margins to suit a specific need.

      You can also change the orientation of your document from here. By clicking on the option you can select either the portrait or landscape option for your document.

    • 4). Make blog postings directly from Word. The first time you use this feature you will need to click on the Office button and choose "Publish" and then select "Blog." Word will take you through a wizard to help you set up your blog for use in Word. In the future if you use Word to create a blog posting, simply click on the Office button, chose "New" and select "New Blog Post."

      Word does have the capability to manage multiple blogs for posting.
