- 1). Put the newspaper on a table. Hold the plastic pen by the back end in your left hand. Hold the pliers in your right hand. Grip the jaws of the pliers around the metal barrel at the front end of the disposable plastic pen. Pull the metal barrel off.
- 2). Tip the disposable plastic pen down. Pull the ink cartridge out with your fingers.
- 3). Hold the plastic pen by the front end in your left hand. Hold the pliers in your right hand. Grip the jaws of the pliers around the cap at the back end of the disposable plastic pen. Pull the cap off.
- 4). Measure an inch from the front end of the disposable plastic pen. Cut a groove across the width of the disposable plastic pen on one side, using the blade of the utility knife. Cut another four grooves, each about one-fourth of an inch apart and each spiraled a quarter turn clockwise from the other around the disposable plastic pen. Repeat this entire process on the back end of the disposable plastic pen.
- 5). Place the one-half inch diameter PVC pipe horizontally on the newspaper. Drill a hole one-eighth inch from one end with the portable drill. Drill four additional holes, each one-eighth inch from each other on the side of the PVC pipe. Rotate the PVC pipe a quarter turn towards you, and repeat the process of drilling the holes. Again, rotate the PVC pipe a quarter turn towards you, and repeat the process of drilling the holes. Finally, rotate the PVC pipe a quarter turn towards you, and repeat the process of drilling the holes.
- 6). Slide the small washer over the back end of the disposable plastic pen. Place the disposable plastic pen, washer end first, into the one-half inch diameter PVC pipe. Smooth out the cotton balls with your fingers. Wrap the cotton around the length of the disposable plastic pen.
- 7). Push the disposable plastic pen, washer end first, into the PVC pipe. Hot glue the washer to cement it to the sides of the PVC pipe.
- 8). Insert the one-half inch diameter PVC pipe into the one inch diameter PVC pipe. Hot glue around the end of the one-half inch diameter PVC pipe where the washer is located in order to cement it to the sides of the one inch PVC pipe.
- 9). Put smoothed out cotton balls into the other end of the one inch PVC pipe, between the sides of the one inch PVC pipe and the one-half inch PVC pipe, inside.

Place a one-fourth inch diameter washer over the end of the disposable plastic pen, opposite the side of the one-eight inch diameter washer. Place the nut over the end of the disposable plastic pen. Place another one-fourth inch diameter washer over the end of the plastic disposable pen. - 11
Hot glue the washer at the end of the disposable plastic pen to cement it in place. - 12
Place the end of the disposable plastic pen where the one-eight inch washer is over the tip of the barrel of the Crossman Quest. Wrap duct tape around the end of the PVC pipe to hold it in place on the barrel.
