Car color can reflect a driver's personality and affect a car's resale value. The Mazda 3 four-door hatchback is a compact car manufactured in Japan, first introduced in the 2004 model year. The 2007 version of the hatchback is available in Sport, Touring and Grand Touring trims. It was during this model year that several new exterior colors were introduced. - Mica is a crystalline mineral that is added to automotive paint to give a car a shiny and iridescent, pearlized finish. When the car is viewed from different angles, different shades can be seen. The Mazda3 fou-door hatchback is offered in four mica options: Black Mica, a subdued black that is not as vibrant as metallic blacks; Crystal White Pearl Mica, a bright, iridescent white that has a slightly gray tinge; Aurora Blue Mica, a fun, medium-to-dark blue; and Phantom Blue Mica, a medium-to-dark blue that is darker than the Aurora Blue Mica.
- Galaxy Gray replaces the Mazda 3 hatchback's previous, lighter Titanium Gray. This color is darker than the Sunlight Silver Metallic and has a glossy finish.
- An exotic car color, Phantom Purple could be best described as a dark purple-red with a lustrous finish. This color makes the Mazda 3 four-door hatchback look more serious and sophisticated.
- Metallic car paint contains aluminum flakes to give cars a very apparent shine. The Sunlight Silver Metallic appears as a light gray with a pleasant sheen. It is lighter than the Galaxy Gray.
- Red is a powerful car color, often associated with sports cars. The Mazda 3 hatchback was meant to sport True Red. An edgy, bright medium-red, this color is meant for sporty vehicles.
