Lack of Sound

• If there is no sound coming from the speakers, check the cable connections. Ensure the satellite speakers are firmly connected to the matching jacks on the back of the Creature's subwoofer.
  
  The connections are color coded and, in addition, each speaker connector is shaped differently to fit only into one jack. Ensure the output cable is firmly connected to the subwoofer audio in jack and the computer's audio-out jack. Ensure the power button on the back of the subwoofer is pushed inward. If everything is connected properly, the green lights on the underside of the satellite speakers will glow.
  
  If there is still no sound, tap the right-hand side audio-increase button on the right satellite speaker until sound is heard. Also ensure there is audio playing from the computer. Double check the lower right-hand side of the window's main screen and look for a speaker icon. If the icon has a red slash over it, click the icon and uncheck the "mute" option.
  
  

Distorted Sound

• If sound is coming out, but you hear crackling, check the connections to make sure they are secure. If the sound is coming out with interference such as hearing other audio or static, move the speaker wires away from other electronic devices, computer monitor and power supplies. Wrap up the excess speaker wire length and place it away from electronic items to reduce the chance of interference.
  
  

Issues with Audio Levels

• If there is too much bass or too much treble, use the controller knobs located on the front of the subwoofer to adjust these settings. Bass is located on the left-hand side, treble is located on the right. When turning each knob, you will feel a slight click when the knob hits the middle (zeroed) level of each setting. Moving the knobs clockwise will increase the bass or treble levels and moving the knobs counterclockwise will decrease these levels.
  
  The satellite speakers sound best when they are placed apart from each other at an equal distance from your seated location when sitting down at the computer. The subwoofer is non-directional, which means you can place it anywhere and get the same bass response.
  
  

Issues Unique to Subwoofer

• If the subwoofer itself is making a buzzing sound, this means the input connections are not secure or plugged into the wrong jacks. Verify the connections are correct as indicated in Section 1 of this article. The buzzing will stop once the connections are fully in place. You may need to power the subwoofer off and back on after reconnecting the wires.
  
  

Considerations

• A good way to determine if all the speakers are fully functional is to look for the glowing green indicator lights. There is one located on the bottom of each speaker and one located on the subwoofer. If all three lights are on, the connections are properly set up and the power supply is functional.
