- 1). Insert the refilled HP 75XL cartridge into your HP printer. Consult your HP printer's user manual to ensure that you properly insert it.
- 2). Press the "Power" button on the printer to shut it down. Remove the power cable from the back of the printer. Wait 5 to 10 seconds.
- 3). Reconnect the power cable and press the "Power" button to turn the HP printer on again.
- 4). Locate the "Reset" or "Resume" button on your HP printer. Which button your HP printer has will depend on the model.
- 5). Press and hold the "Resume" or "Reset" button on your printer.
- 6). Release the button after approximately 15 seconds. Now that you have reset your HP printer, the printer should recognize the ink level on the refilled HP 75XL cartridge.
