Keeping up with fashion trends may or may not be something you take interest in. When it comes to fashion, most men simply try to avoid looking ridiculous before leaving the house. But some fashion trends permeate popular culture and find their way into our closets. Here are a few current fashion faux pas that are being made all too often. This is in addition to the 8 Men's Fashion Mistakes to Avoid.

• Are you stuck in the eighties? I realize the eighties have had a fashion resurgence in recent seasons. Although it is mostly worn by fashionistas and urban hipsters, for the average guy this is not a trend to follow. Yes, the occasional trend item like geek chic glasses or grey jeans are okay, but steer clear otherwise. It wasn’t great the first time around.
• High water pants. I gave been seeing cropped pants in shops for a while now and I am confused. I know work and other rugged style boots are in fashion, but unless you are under the age of 22, this is not a good look. And even then it’s questionable.
• Crocs. I own a pair of Crocs, but they are for working in the yard and fetching the paper only. I see too many people running about town in their neon colored plastic shoes and I wonder if they have any self-respect. Take this poll: What do you think of Crocs?
