- 1). Avoid setting the date between the hours of 9 and 3, as this is when the gears are precisely engaged and can damage the watch if the date is altered.
- 2). Pull the small knob on the right-hand side of the watch, or crown, until you hear two clicks.
- 3). Set the hands to a time past 3:00 or before 9:00. Push the crown in one click. It will not be pushed all the way in to the side of the watch.
- 4). Turn the crown until the desired date, starting with the year and followed by the month and then the day of the month, is displayed on the watch face.
- 5). Pull the crown back out one click, and reset the hands to the correct time so that the time will be associated with the correct date.
- 6). Push the crown back in to the side of the watch. You will hear two clicks.
