How to Make Flash Slide Shows on the Computer
- 1). Create a new folder, and copy the pictures you want to use in the slide show to the folder.
- 2). Open the current program of Adobe Flash; as of October 2010, the current program was Flash 9.
- 3). Import the photos from your folder to the "Stage" by going to the folder, then place your mouse cursor over one image, press "CTRL" and "A" at the same time to select all the images, then click "Open" to import them into the Flash program.
- 4). Right-click on each image and select "Cut" to create a new layer for the picture. From the drop-down menu, select "Create new layer" and paste the picture to it, and give the new picture a name so you can identify it. Repeat this process for each picture you include in the slide show.
- 5). Right-click all but the current image you are working with and turn off their visibility by clicking on the "eye" icon.
- 6). Click on the layer version of the image you are working on, and convert it to a graphic by selecting "Modify" in the toolbar and clicking on "Convert to Symbol." Click on "OK" in the new decision box, and repeat this step for each image.
- 7). Click on "Timeline," then "Keyframe." This will program how long it takes for your images to fade from one to the other. Along the bottom of the page, there is a "Keyframe viewer." Click and drag the highlighter and select the number of frames across which you want the picture to fade.
- 8). Click on the image you are working with in the Keyframe, and go to the "Properties" window. Select "Color," then "Alpha," and change the value to "0" for fade-in mode for your images.
- 9). Right-click on the "Keyframe viewer," and select "Create Motion Tween" to create an even transition.
- 10
Extend the gray highlighted area by dragging the cursor in the viewer to the picture you want shown next. Right-click the viewer, select "Create Motion Tween," and create a fade-out by adding a short keyframe and setting the Alpha to "0," as was done before. - 11
Repeat these steps for the remaining pictures in the slide show. Then, click on "File," then "Save as" to name and save your slide show.
