How to Replace Windshield Wipers in a Cadillac Escalade
- 1). Purchase Trico wiper blades from Auto Zone. You can find the refill kits in stores or online for minimal cost.
- 2). Set the wipers into a vertical position before attempting replacement. You'll want to turn the key to ACC in your ignition as well.
- 3). Remove the old blades from the Cadillac Escalade. With the Trico type, you're going to see a spring lock towards the center of the arm. Hold down the spring lock with a screwdriver. While the spring is depressed, pull out the old blade.
- 4). Turn the tab at the end of the blade arm upwards. You can now slide in the new refills to replace the old type. You may have to rock it in a back and forth motion until it locks in.
- 5). Bend the tab back to its original position. Your wiper blades will now be ready for use. You can test them by allowing them to run over your windshield several times to ensure that they stay in place.
