There are many reasons to quit smoking cigarettes and one reason, women especially, need to know the damage that smoking is doing to their skin progresses over time.
Smoking and wrinkles go hand in hand so the sooner you stop smoking the better.
Wrinkles caused from smoking cigarettes are irreversible.
Your wrinkles are due to an acceleration of the normal aging process.
If your inner arms are prematurely wrinkled, smoking cigarettes can definitely be the cause.
So, it's not only your face that smoking affects.
You can almost always tell who smokes just by looking at their skin.
There are usually those feather type wrinkles around the mouth and there is kind of a yellowish to grayish tint to the skin as well.
If you are smoking and wrinkles are appearing, now is the time to kick the habit.
When you smoke, blood vessels in the outer layers of your skin become narrow.
Now, blood flow going to your skin isn't occurring the way it is meant to flow.
This means your skin isn't getting the oxygen and vitamin A, which is a very important nutrient, that it needs.
You may also begin to have premature sagging skin to go along with the premature wrinkles.
The reason your skin will start to sag early is because smoking cigarettes will damage the collagen and elastin.
The collagen and elastin are fibers that give the skin elasticity and make it stronger.
Considering there are approximately four thousand chemicals in cigarettes, it would be surprising if smoking cigarettes didn't harm your skin in some way.
Your skin is the largest organ of your body and when you think about how smoking harms your cells, lungs and heart, it makes since it would have a great affect on your skin.
You can stop smoking and wrinkles won't appear as prematurely as they have been.
