How to Make a Beard Out of a Wig
- 1). Drape the wig over a wig display head. Turn the head so that the back of it is facing you. Alternatively, hold the wig in your hand as level as possible to maintain an even shape.
- 2). Cut the top and middle section of the wig by starting at the front of the wig and cutting toward the back of the head in a crescent moon shape. This leaves a crescent shaped wig; the back part of it only. Leave the elasticized border of the wig, as you cut just behind it to remove the top and front hair.
- 3). Comb the remaining hair with the fine comb. Part it evenly down the center.
- 4). Insert the scissor tips into the crescent-shaped wig form, one inch below the cut line. Make a 1-inch wide incision, horizontally. Spray the parted area above this incision liberally with hairspray.
- 5). Style the parted area of hair above the incision in a mustache shape.
