- 1). Check the control panel of the printer to see which color ink cartridge is empty. Press the diamond shaped "Color" button to move the cartridge into place.
- 2). Close the top cover of the printer if it is open. Pull open the front scanner cover to expose the print cartridges. The print cartridge will move into place.
- 3). Flip up the print cartridge cover and pinch the sides of the empty cartridge. Lift the print cartridge free of the printer and set it aside.
- 4). Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging. Shake the cartridge a couple of times to loosen the ink.
- 5). Slide the print cartridge into the carrier until it snaps into place. Make sure the cartridge cover snaps into place.
- 6). Close the front of the printer and send a test page to the printer.
