Do-it-Yourself Princess Party - Fun and Simple Games

103 10
Start your theme from the moment the party goers arrive.
Have your Host Princess announce each guest as she arrives by preparing name cards with the introduction ahead of time.
Go formal and announce them by the guests by their first and middle name, with the title princess as well as their kingdom (which is their surname).
For example, if the child's name is Rose Emily Kincaid, she'd be announced as the Princess Rose Emily from the Kingdom of Kincaid.
If the children are old enough to read, the Princess Host can place a sticker on their back with the name of a queen or princess that age group would be familiar with and play Guess Who? Then each participant would ask questions of the other guests to find out who they are.
Things like, "What's my favorite color?", "Do I live with seven dwarfs?", "What's the moral of my story?" etc.
The older the girls the more difficult the princesses and can ask questions that can only be answered with a yes/no answer.
This is a great way for children who don't know each other initially to interact with each other.
PRINCESS MEMORY GAME Use a large serving tray or cookie sheet and fill the surface with princess-related items (this could be used as a centerpiece for the main table or side table until the game begins):
  • a small wand
  • tiara
  • apple (for Snow White)
  • mirror (Snow White)
  • carriage (for Cinderella - a toy carriage works great for this)
  • dragon (for Sleeping Beauty - a toy works well or shaped eraser, sticker, etc.
    )
  • etc.
After the party goers have had a chance to look over the items, remove them and give the kids paper (pre-numbered with the total items works well) and pencils to write all of the items they remember.
The person who remembers the most items wins.
If the children are very young, in secret, remove several items from the tray and let the kids look again and call out what's been removed.
Continue until everyone has a chance to answer.
Prizes for all.
These are just two simple games to get your princess party started and to get the kids interacting.
Have fun!
