- 1). Click on the Windows "Start" icon on your taskbar and click on "Control Panel."
- 2). Type "home" in the search box at the top of the window and then click on "Homegroup."
- 3). Click on the "Create a homegroup" button.
- 4). Select the type of files or devices that you wish to share with other computers and then click on "Next."
- 5). Write down the password displayed on the screen. You will use this password when adding other computers to your homegroup. Then click on "Finish." You have now created your homegroup.
