Embarking On Social Responsibility This Christmas
Various situations came upon the country including recession, that is why it is currently in a slump at present.
Now to those of us who are lucky enough and are still enjoying a lot of blessings, it is our moral duty to help in our own little way.
There are a lot of ways to help and one is through donation via charitable institutions.
We can choose any non-profit charity institution that caters to the specific group that we want to help.
For examples are the Rockefeller Foundation, Education Fund to Stop Gun Violence, etc.
There are also several online non-profit charitable organizations online as well.
This Christmas I will be trying to move away from the commercialization of the holidays, and instead give donations to worthy causes instead of the traditional exchanging of gifts.
This thing has been ringing inside my head for quite some time now.
I feel the need to share my blessings as part of my social responsibility especially during this time of year.
I was thinking of helping the nationwide drive for Toys For Tots.
Traditionally, your local service members association Military or Marine Corps will be heading the drive, so that is your best bet for locating the location of the drive and times so you can donate.
Another one is the Make-a- Wish Foundation that caters to kids afflicted with sickness.
The foundation aims to fulfill little wishes and also brings happiness for these young angels.
Lastly, since I have an old spare 1992 Ford Explorer that I rarely use but still in good condition, I'm planning to donate it to a donate car tax deduction charity.
Hopefully I will be able to help.
The tax reduction will just be an added bonus.
