- 1). Measure your head. Place the length of the measuring tape against the back of your head at the place where you'd normally wear the headband. Bring each end to your forehead to find the measurement.
- 2). Cut the ribbon 2 inches shorter than the measurement. Apply anti-fray solution to the ends of the ribbon.
- 3). Place one end of the elastic slightly underneath one end of the ribbon. Sew the elastic, using a few simple stitches.
- 4). Try the fit of the headband. If it fits, sew the other end of the ribbon to the elastic.
