Surprise invitations are not as easy to make as it may at first seem.
After all, surprise parties are one of the most difficult to organize.
The word must not leak out nor must the celebrator find out early, otherwise that would ruin the entire surprise.
Birthday invitations and RSVP notes are therefore in order because these help the hosts keep track of the people who are attending.
To make sure that the lid is kept tight on the secret, everybody must be informed that the party should actually be kept secret and in no instance should be mentioned within hearing of the celebrator.
Surprise invitations are different from ordinary invitations.

The invitation should also identify clearly who the party is for so that slip-ups can be avoided, or these would ruin the entire occasion.
And since surprise parties commonly require the celebrator to come in last, the invitation should make it absolutely clear that those attending should make it on time.
If attendants are coming in cars, there should be an allotted parking area.
Imagine a host of cars strewn on the outside of the house will certainly arouse suspicions and will give the surprise party away to the celebrator.
The invitations should ideally be sent out early, giving enough time for both the hosts and the guests to prepare.
However, the period should not be overly extended as this would increase the chances of someone spilling the beans.
Surprise invitations, if done correctly, can make the party a big success.
