Theme parties are a popular choice because they not only provide a great guide on how to decorate, food and drink options, and games to play, but they also let guests get into the fun by coordinating their outfits and gifts. When your child is invited to a magic-themed party, many opportunities exist for you to create a little magic of your own with a customized, unique gift. With just a few steps, you can reveal an exciting and fun magic party present.

    Playing Cards

    • Every magician has a few (card) tricks up his sleeve; give him a party gift that will help personalize his magic shows. Using an online card company, upload a photo of the young magician in his cape and top hat, performing a trick, holding his wand or posing with some playing cards. Card makers can create quantities of even just one single deck of cards. A single photo may be used, or if you've collected enough, 52 (one for each card in the deck). You can even customize the box the cards come in, with a bold slogan such as "The Fabulous Wizard Edwin's Cards" or "Magician Rose's Magic Trick Deck."

    Books

    • Although most magicians will tell you they're not performing tricks and what you're seeing is actually happening, budding magicians need a solid base to learn from. Books are available to teach tricks involving cards, cups and balls, coins, mentalism and even how to speak to audiences. Contribute a few books to the magic party star's magician library as a memorable and informational gift.

    Cape

    • Along with the black top hat and white gloves, nothing symbolizes a magician more than a swingy cape. Create a personalized gift for a magic party by making a special cape. Capes can be created out of silk (use a bright inside color that shows when the magician turns and spins) or even old sheets and cloth. Patterns are available online; find out the budding magician's measurements from a parent or sibling.
