Top 5 Guest Stars On Scrubs
However, over the course of the seasons, there are a few stars that really stand out! See how your favorites compare to the Top 5 Guest Stars on Scrubs.
5 - Mandy Moore was dating Zach Braff at the time she appeared on Scrubs.
Playing Julie, girlfriend to Braff's JD, Mandy offered herself up entirely to the role, fitting right in with the show's physical and verbal comedy.
Her appearance led to the classic line "You see, Turk? She's not over there saying 'That's so sad.
'She's really crying.
" 4 - Colin Hay's appearance on the show was significant because it helped to, early on, set the tone of the show regarding music.
In Scrubs Season 2 on DVD, viewers can enjoy Colin Hay's cameos in "My Overkill" while singing (obviously) "Overkill".
The show is very heavy into music and lyrics as a way of advancing the show and this is a perfect example of that unique characteristic of this show.
3 - Starring as JD's father, John Ritter not only added to the show, but he also helped, by proxy, to explain why JD looks up so much to Dr.
Cox.
Having John Ritter in this role also led to the events that occurred in "My Cake", where the cast deals with the death of JD's father, but they also personally deal with the death of a great actor who enhanced their show, if only for a short time.
2 - Michael J.
Fox returned to television in order to guest star briefly on Scrubs.
Dr.
Kevin Casey (Fox) is an obsessive compulsive doctor who specializes in both medical and surgical fields.
While he was hysterical in his scenes besting Dr.
Cox, perhaps the most striking scene was his dramatic display of battling his OCD after a surgery.
Memorable and effective! 1 - Brendan Fraser was pure gold when he guest starred on Scrubs as Jordan's brother/Dr.
Cox's best friend, Ben.
Hysterical, wacky and on-time comedically, Fraser's character is revealed to have leukemia.
How he deals with this and forces the staff at Sacred Heart around him to grow during season one over just two episodes is amazing.
But perhaps even more memorable than his appearance on Scrubs in Season 1 is his departure in Season 3.
Scrubs is now entering it's last season; we can only hope that these final few episodes provide the big laughs that we saw in the first seasons!
