How to Do Your Makeup Perfectly
- 1). Apply a foundation primer to the entire face before putting on makeup. Primer smoothes skin and fills in fine lines, allowing the foundation to look smooth and perfect once it goes on the skin.
- 2). Wet a cosmetic sponge and wring it out to remove excess water. Apply a few drops of your liquid foundation to the sponge. Dot the foundation onto the face. A wet sponge gives the foundation a light, airbrushed look. Smooth it into skin, blending out from the center of the face into the hairline and jaw.
- 3). Darken the lashes by lining the upper lash line with an eyeliner pencil. Draw a line directly over the lashes, from the center of the eye to the outer corner. Use a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover to smooth the top of the line out perfectly.
- 4). Enhance the eyes by applying eye shadow. Spread the base eye color over the entire lid, from the lash line to crease. Swipe a medium shade into the eye crease. Apply the darkest shade right near the outer corner of the eye and blend in towards the center of the eyelid.
- 5). Fill in sparse areas of the eyebrow using an eyebrow pencil. Find a color one shade darker than your natural eyebrow color. Draw feathered pencil strokes from the thickest part of the brow across to the thinnest.
- 6). Curl the lashes gently, and apply one or two coats of mascara to help them stand out against the eyeshadow.
