Ebook Bestsellers - How To Select A Topic That Sells
It's what every internet marketer dreams of.
And the truth is it isn't that easy to achieve.
There are many ways to have a best seller.
All involve work, having a large network and a larger than normal injection of luck and good timing.
But no matter how you've managed to get a best seller they all start with one thing.
Having a topic that people want to buy.
So how do you pick a topic that sells? How do you pick a topic that has the ability to force the reader to pick it up and read it? Picking a great topic always begins with knowing who your reader is.
Now that just might seem rather difficult to do without a time machine.
After all not only don't you have any readers but you haven't even started to write yet.
So how can you have a reader? The answer is to start with the reader.
Pick a reader.
That person is going to be your target reader.
That person -- and people just like them -- is going to be the person who will buy your perfect eBook.
So how do you ensure this? How do you turn a potential reader into a real reader? The short answer is to pick a topic that your reader absolutely, positively, without fail cannot help but want to read it.
What you need to do is begin with your target reader in mind.
You need to develop a comprehensive profile of this person.
You need to know what motivates them.
You need to know what bugs them.
You need to know what they fear.
You need to know what problems they face.
You need to create a profile that will describe who this person is, why they will buy your book and what their hot buttons are.
You need to know what their problems are and then you need to provide them a solution.
That's all..
If you can write a book that identifies one of their hot buttons -- one of their most pressing and painful problems -- and then propose a solution for that problem.
Then you will almost certainly have a bestseller.
Oh of course, how you market will affect your final sales figures.
And who you sell to and how you sell will all figure prominently in the total sales.
But the truth is that a guaranteed sale happens when you can combine desire with an overwhelming need to resolve a problem, avoid a painful end, or achieve a pleasurable desired end state.
