How to Wash Shrink-to-Fit Levis
- 1). Turn your jeans inside out by reaching through the waist area and down through each leg, grabbing the ends and pulling them upward through the top so that the interiors of all areas are facing outward.
- 2). Set your washing machine to gentle cycle, cold water only. If needed, include a small amount of nonchlorine bleach in the water per the instructions on the cleaner's packaging. Place the jeans in the washing machine, and permit them to go through the entire wash cycle.
- 3). Promptly remove your jeans from the washing machine and hang them to air-dry until they are no longer damp.
- 4). Wear your jeans during normal daily activities for 2 to 3 days so that the fabric becomes accustomed to your body, and then repeat steps 1 through 4 an additional time to "fix" the size of the broken-in jeans.
