Made of special materials to resist against water, shock, and even extreme temperature, the Casio G'zone Ravine offers some improvements of its predecessor (the Rock).
I am personally impressed with the design of the G'zOne Ravine that is totally different from that of other smart phones that offers almost the same models.
Measuring 4.
3 x 2.
1 x 0.
9 inch, the handset still sits comfortably in my hand, it, though, looks bulky and thick that might be tight in the pocket.
The G'zOne Ravine offers a better camera than the Rock's 2 MP for it sports a 3.
2 megapixel camera with LED flash.
Unfortunately it lacks the auto-focus found on the Brigade.
Although the photo quality is average under the low light but it is good under the plenty of light especially using LED flash.
It also has a built in camera that records videos at 15fps up to 320x240 resolution.
For operating system, the Casio Ravine is based on Android 2.
1 and or course, we expect an upgrade to 2.
2 Froyo sooner.
The Ravine features Verizon's EVDO Rev.
A for (push to talk) PTT connectivity that supposed to connect people within an instant at a click of your phone.
The handset also ships GPS with VZ Navigator built-in, Bluetooth and 32GB expandable memory as well.
Finally, beside the Casio Ravine is a mid-level smart phone that provides quite good features like Android 2.
1 operating system, Push to Talk, a 3.
2 MP camera and EVDO Rev.
A for quick internet connectivity, it is a sturdy and tough phone that is suitable for out-door activities.
