How to Wire a Magnaflux Guitar Pickup
- 1). Position the guitar on its face with the neck facing to the left. This positions the electronics cavity at the bottom of the guitar.
- 2). Place the push/pull potentiometer in the hole on the left and secure it to the guitar with a wrench. Make sure the lugs on the potentiometer face to the right.
- 3). Solder the red and white wires to the push/pull switch mounted on the back of the volume potentiometer. Solder the wires to the lower middle lug on the switch.
- 4). Locate the lug to the right of the wires you just soldered and solder a ground to that lug. Solder the other end of that wire to the back of the volume potentiometer casing. This completes the necessary wiring to turn off one of the coils.
- 5). Solder the bare wire and the green wire to the back of the volume potentiometer.
- 6). Solder the black wire from the Magnaflux pickup to the lower lug of the volume potentiometer.
