    • Diabetes is a condition that can sap you of essential daily energy. When you have diabetes, your body has to spend energy regulating blood-sugar levels and this can leave you tired. In addition, a general feeling of weakness can accompany uncontrolled diabetes.

      Sleeping eight hours a night, eating better and constantly monitoring your insulin levels can help you to increase your energy. Incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables (spinach, potatoes, carrots, bananas, oranges and papayas), whole grains, fish and organic meats into your diet as opposed to processed foods, sugary desserts and alcohol.

    Incorporate Regular Exercise Into Your Routine

    • Adding 30 minutes of easy to moderate exercises three to five times a week can help relieve feelings of tiredness throughout your day. Swimming, walking, biking and tennis increase your heart rate and energy levels. If sports exercise isn't for you, get creative with your workouts. You can visit natural-history sites or museums or simply park at the back of the parking lot at the grocery store to get in your workout. Cleaning your home and playing with your kids are also simple ways to increase energy.

    Diagnose and Treat Depression

    • According to the American Diabetes Association, people with diabetes are more likely to suffer from depression. The combination of diabetes and depression can add to a constant feeling of being tired for many people. If you have gotten your diabetes under control and are still experiencing tired feelings throughout the day, talk to your doctor about symptoms and treatments of depression.
