- 1). Click on a file or folder on your desktop or within a folder.
- 2). Hold down "Ctrl" and press the arrow keys to highlight a file.
- 3). Press the spacebar to select the file. Make sure you continue to hold down "Ctrl."
- 4). Use the arrow keys and spacebar to select all of the files you need to select, then release the "Ctrl" key. You can now initiate another keyboard command to copy, cut or open the files.
