    Photo Ornament

    • Kids can create an easy photo ornament for the holiday tree using a two part canning lid. Decorate both parts of the lid with acrylic paint; paint the top and the underside of the outside rim, but only paint one side of the center insert. Let the paint dry. Glue flat-backed rhinestones around the circumference of the outside metal rim with viscous jeweler's glue. Use the center insert as a guide and cut a photo to fit the shape. You'll need an acid-free glue stick to attach the photo to the unpainted side of the center insert. Drill a small hole through the outside rim of the lid to hang the ornament. Make the hanger with a strand of thin ribbon. Replace the center photo insert with the photo facing the front, inside the outside rim. Glue a strand of ribbon around the circumference of the insert with hot glue to secure the photo insert to the outside rim.

    Pine Cone XmasTrees

    • Create decorative Christmas trees using large, conical shaped pine cones. Paint the pine cone with spray paint to coordinate with your Christmas décor. Roll the dried, painted pine cone in glue to cover the tips; roll the glued tips in glitter or glass seed beads. The glitter or beads will stick to the glue, creating colorful "ornaments" on your pine cone tree.

    Sparkle Ornament

    • One easy Christmas craft that anyone can create is a sparkle ornament. You'll need clear, glass ornaments from the craft store and sparkly gift-wrapping filler available in strips. Remove the top hanger from the ornament and insert the sparkly strips inside. Fill the ornament with the colorful strips before replacing the top. Turn these festive ornaments into place cards by writing names on the outside of each with a glass paint pen.

    Glass Block Xmas Package

    • Create an easy, lighted holiday decoration with a glass craft block, string lights and festive wrapping paper. Insert the string lights inside the craft block; the power cord can exit through the pre-drilled hole. Wrap the glass craft block in Christmas paper or thin holiday fabric. Finish the package with a large bow. Plug in the lights to illuminate the decorative gift.
